Cleaning your Parker pens

I think I just figured out how to disassemble a Parker 45 nib. feel free to correct me if I missed any steps. I don't have photos but we all have to use our imagination for the meantime

So get your Parker 45, (but I think this will work for the similar ones) and let's get cleaning!

First, pop the cap!
Second, unscrew the nib bit from the body
Third, gently unscrew the nib and feeder thingy from the hood! And lastly, push the need nib and feeder out of the hood.

if you're ready to put it back together, just do it backwards. hope this helps!

Finally, someone lays it out without acting like it's rocket science, you pretty much nailed it. Only thing I'd add is don't hulk smash the feeder out or you'll snap it and cry later. Otherwise, yeah unscrew, push, curse if it's stuck, then slap it back together in reverse. Good job @random thoughts

Great summary, sounds spot on! Just a quick tip: make sure to hold the collar, not the nib, when unscrewing it, to keep from bending anything. If it's tough to get off, soaking it in warm water might help. When you put it back together, align the nib and feed nicely, and you'll be all set.

You really hit the mark with that Parker 45 teardown. One little tip I'd throw in is to soak the nib and feed in warm water if they're feeling tight. And you're spot on about the rubber grip,it really does help prevent scratches when you're unscrewing it. Great job sharing this, my friend
