I found a listing for a very nice looking parker pen which seems to have seen some better days, especially in terms of the shine. I'm still deciding if I should buy it and try to negotiate a good price, but that's not what I'm here for. My question is how to polish a parker t-point ballpoint pen and is it something I can do myself or is it something for a pro?

yeahh, use cape cod cloths or simichrome, rub it gently with a soft cloth and it'll shine right up, also avoid logos or painted bits, then wipe clean.

Rubbing it with alcohol gently would work well. Been doing it for quite some time now and it didn't really cause any problem so far.

I recently brought an old Parker Jotter back to life using a Sunshine cloth for the metal and some Novus #2 for the plastic. Just start by giving it a good clean, then hand-polish it up, no need to break out the power tools. Unless you've got a rare gem or something fancy like gold, there's really no need to call in the pros.
