This pen is a strong entry from Graf von Faber-Castell into the premium market, with a beautiful wood finish that stands out among competitors. The only downside for me is the nib, likely due to issues with Bock, holds it back from being truly outstanding. While an 86% rating is convincing, theress clear potential for GvFC to deliver something exceptional with a bit more attention to performance, not just looks. A solid 9/10 for me for sure

That nib concern is valid, and at this price point, writing performance should match the aesthetics. If GvFC addressed the Bock inconsistency, this pen could truly compete with the top-tier contenders

Yeah it's stunning to look at, but the nib's not quite there yet, one thing I know is if they dial in the writing feel, it could be a real winner

Graf von Faber-Castell really nailed the design with this pen, the wood finish is gorgeous and feels premium. The only real letdown is the nib, likely due to Bock, which keeps it from being truly top-tier. Still , its a strong contender in the high-end market and an easy 9/10 in my book.

I agree! The design is great, but the Bock nib tuning feels a bit off. If GvFC improves its QC regarding how the pen writes, it could easily become their top product.
