When Blue Inks Look Purple, is there any way to shift the hue?

I recently picked up a couple of Diamine inks that were labeled as blue, but once they hit the page… they're definitely leaning purple. Beautiful colors, don't get me wrong, but not quite what I was aiming for. idk is this science fiction or has anyone here successfully tweaked ink colors to bring out more of the blue tones? like maybe an additive or a mixing trick? I know ink chemistry can be touchy, but I'd love to nudge these closer to a true blue if possible

My brother had many sleepless nights over a similar problem which like you bothered him. As he explained, the papaer can affect the color of the ink, so to compensate he started mixing inks and managed to get the blue he wanted. Just make sure you're using ink from the same manufacturer

For me, I jsut use it as they are but i know someone who tried adding tiny amounts of a contrasting color like a very dilute green to shift the hue, but she overdid it and she never looked back again
